In 1 Samuel 2:12–26, God contrasts the rebellious sons of Eli with the faithful boy Samuel to show that disobedience reveals a heart far from the Lord, while humble obedience grows in His presence. The passage warns children against rebellion, calls parents to faithfully restrain and disciple, and ultimately points to Jesus, the faithful Son and perfect High Priest; whose grace transforms rebellious hearts and empowers gospel-shaped obedience in the home.
